Oops... I Arted!

On this weblog I will post cartoon strips, drawings, one panel cartoons, sketches, and updates on the Lubbock comics community. I hope to get feedback, increase my artistic skills, and get 'those' ideas out of my head. Feel free to critique me.

They Fight Crime...no really!

One is a sharp dressing, cane wielding, idealist, who women find irresistable, the other is swinging schizoid anti-hero with a PhD in Asskickology.
They Fight Crime!... In Indianapolis.

I recently heard of Mr. Silent and Doktor DiscorD from the Metropolis Comic Radio Show (Thursdays 7-8pm on my local college radio station 88.1 KTXT).

So anyways, these guys apparently go out at night and try to keep the streets safe. Not a bad thought, though I worry others will follow in their footsteps and not be as lucky...

I believe the first post about them was at WarrenEllis.com, but you can find more info by searching for their names or the name of their group... get this: The Justice Society of Justice!

February Art Show in Lubbock

I don't plan to attend myself, but I thought someone reading this might be interested. Here is the message I was forwarded from a friend:

We need more ART
This is from a friend of mine who runs a collective store here in Lubbock. If
you have art of any kind that you wish to sell, (or other stuff too) get in
touch with Fletcher to see if he can help you both out!!

FWD:
Help, We need more ART
Greetings,

We are holding a Valentine dinner & art show on 2/14 in Depot district (Venue
known but not said until about a week from now).

We have many nice pieces from our efforts thus far but not near enough for an
event of this size.

Please send more artists our way!

Normally we would be able to pull in plenty from afar but we are talking about
a little over a month to prepare.

West TEXAS Artists Unite,
Let's,
Get Er Done.

What your friend thinks is sub par may very well not be and there is a lot of
folks looking for such, on the edge goods.

It's about having something that no one else has, originals.
Doesn't do that much for us but hey, we don't even have to like it, we just
have to sell it for you.

Gbb,
Fletcher Co.
